This is where you&#8217;ll meet your trainer, and they&#8217;ll get to know your business better.<\/p>\n<p>Your trainer will also give you a quick overview of how FOUNDATION works and how the training will go.<\/p>\n<p>In this first phase, we&#8217;ll focus on a few key things:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Understanding your company:<\/strong> We&#8217;ll talk about how your company operates and what you need from the software<\/li>\n<li><strong>Defining user roles:<\/strong> We&#8217;ll figure out what each person who uses the software will be responsible for<\/li>\n<li><strong>Setting expectations:<\/strong> We&#8217;ll outline what you can expect from the rest of the implementation process<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Phase_2_Building_the_Foundation\"><\/span><strong>Phase 2: Building the Foundation <\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Next, your trainer will help you set up the \u2018maintenance items\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Think of them as the foundation of your system.<\/p>\n<p>Your trainer will help you set these up and show you how they&#8217;ll link to your <strong>General Ledger (G\/L)<\/strong> so you can easily see your financial data.<\/p>\n<p>The basic process looks like this:<\/p>\n<table class=\"style-2\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<th style=\"padding: 15px;\"><b>1. Determining billing formats, such as AIA, time and material, service or unit price<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"padding: 15px;\"><strong>Project Control<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"padding: 15px;\">Creating custom document templates for RFIs, submittals, change orders and more; customizing categories for document image lookup; and creating correspondence categories and contacts<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"padding: 15px;\"><strong>Additional Modules<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"padding: 15px;\">Setting up equipment and inventory items; customizing dispatch boards; and prioritizing your setup and training based on features important to your business<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Phase_3_Practicing_Daily_Transactions\"><\/span>Phase 3: Practicing Daily Transactions<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You\u2019ll learn the daily functions of the software, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Entering timecards, invoices and bills:<\/strong> We&#8217;ll guide you through the entire process<\/li>\n<li><strong>Processing payments:<\/strong> You&#8217;ll learn how to receive and make payments within the system<\/li>\n<li><strong>Managing projects:<\/strong> You&#8217;ll see how to handle things like change orders and project documents<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We&#8217;ll use a practice database for this, so you can get comfortable with the system without worrying about making any mistakes in your actual data.<\/p>\n<p>Practicing these functions \u2014 especially on your own \u2014 will <strong>make your transition easier<\/strong> by increasing your familiarity with the system.<\/p>\n<p>Plus, it gives us a chance to test your system setup, view reports and see your database in action.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Phase_4_Going_Live\"><\/span>Phase 4: Going Live<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>By this point, you\u2019ll be ready and feeling confident to take your system \u201clive.\u201d In FOUNDATION, \u201cgoing live\u201d is divided into two parts:<\/p>\n<table class=\"style-2\">\n<tbody style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 33%; padding: 15px;\"><strong>1. Using FOUNDATION <\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"padding: 15px;\">Your trainer will help you with your first payroll and show you how to enter bills and invoices once you&#8217;re officially using FOUNDATION for your real business. Once you&#8217;ve posted something to your General Ledger (G\/L) on or after your &#8216;go-live&#8217; date, you&#8217;re officially live with the new system!<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"padding: 15px;\"><strong>2. Bringing Your Past Data Over <\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"padding: 15px;\">Your trainer will help you transfer your past accounting data from your old system into FOUNDATION. We&#8217;ll make sure everything transitions smoothly and accurately for each part of the system.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Phase_5_Settling_In_Review\"><\/span>Phase 5: Settling In &amp; Review<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Once you\u2019re live in FOUNDATION, your trainer will help you get settled into your new routine. This phase is mostly about you getting comfortable with the system on your own.<\/p>\n<p>Feel free to <strong>ask your trainer any questions<\/strong> that arise as you start using FOUNDATION in your daily work. We&#8217;ll also brainstorm to find ways to make the software even easier for you to use.<\/p>\n<p>During this phase, you&#8217;ll also learn more about how to run reports, reconcile your accounts and address any minor issues that might have come up. We&#8217;ll also review anything that needs to be adjusted.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Phase_6_The_Wrap-up_Meeting\"><\/span>Phase 6: The Wrap-up Meeting<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The last session will be similar to your planning meeting \u2014 it&#8217;s a chance for us to check in and see how things are going.<\/p>\n<p>We know every business is different, so we&#8217;ll do a final review of your setup and how you&#8217;ve been using <strong>FOUNDATION<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>We want to make sure you&#8217;re on the<strong> right track for success<\/strong>!
