<\/span>Foundation Software’s Beginnings<\/span><\/h2>\n

Fred Ode founded Foundation Software in 1985 with a single goal: to build a company that would become a trusted household name in construction accounting. Foundation\u2019s flagship product, The Foundation Accounting System, later renamed to FOUNDATION\u00ae, was originally the only product offered. But as time went on, industry trends shifted, and clients began asking for more solutions.<\/p>\n\n

Foundation, always looking to meet the demands of users, released Payroll4Construction \u2014 a construction payroll service \u2014 as an integrated sister product. Thus, the portfolio began to grow.<\/p>\n\n

After Fred\u2019s retirement in 2020, Mike Ode assumed the role of CEO. He had two main objectives: maintain excellent customer support and provide as many software and services as possible so clients could keep their construction management under one roof.<\/p>\n\n

Under Mike\u2019s guiding principles, Foundation greatly expanded and transformed.<\/p>\n\n

The product line now includes everything from job cost accounting, mobile time tracking, HR management & payroll services to estimating and takeoff, safety management and project management.<\/p>\n\n
